Interview

I would talk about how in this day in age we are bombarded by technology and it is important to know how to use it in a educational and significant way. We as teachers must take the time to encourage and show our students that this is something that they can use to get across their message that has value and that when we use technology in the classroom we enrich the students educational experience and growth as students

Insights on technology

I think that there are a lot of things to gain out of a technology class, not only about what is out there in the technology sense but what is out there to be used in teaching. I recently have been overloaded with twitter, which i think could be a nice way to connect with students on a personal level outside of school in a very educational way. A teacher could very easily be able to connect to students with homework help, content review, educational activities, or even staying connected with former students. I don't know if I would have ever thought about using it for educational purposes before taking this class. I also think that I have gained new insights into the predicament we are in as far as all the new and old versions of every piece of software. By being exposed to it in this class and knowing that things are not easy to find on every version makes it that much more important to keep up to date and know how to do things no matter what version you use.

Technology in Classrooms Today

I think that technology's role in the classroom currently is partially integrated into the day by day experiences in the classroom. Assignments are made to incorporate using technology and practicing different skills. This includes papers using Turnitin.com and power point assignments. Now students are getting the chance to use technology at every part of their school experience, and are allowed to keep practicing and learning new skills as they are being discovered. I feel like I have a general sense of what is going on in the technology world but there are many things that for me are still to be discovered.
